Fishing in Vietnam is truly different because the landscape, waterways, and local culture are unlike anywhere else in the world.

Today, I want to introduce you to a unique experience: barramundi fishing in local shrimp-farming ponds in Southern Vietnam.

A Unique Fishing Environment

In Southern Vietnam, major rivers connect directly to the sea, creating a unique network of waterways, mangrove forests, coastal areas, and local shrimp ponds.

When the tides and waterways connect with the sea, many predatory fish move into these areas and grow there naturally.

You may encounter barramundi, grouper, barracuda, and many other predatory species.

This is what makes fishing in Southern Vietnam so special. Every area has its own terrain, water conditions, and fishing opportunities—and many places are difficult to access unless you know the local area.

With years of experience exploring and fishing in different areas, I understand the local terrain, waterways, seasonal conditions, and fishing patterns.

More importantly, I have strong connections with local people.

So I don't simply take you to a regular fishing spot.

I take you to places I know, places I have personally explored, and places where you can experience fishing the way locals do.

You are not just going fishing.

You are exploring the environment, learning how barramundi live and hunt in these waters, and experiencing a genuine part of Southern Vietnamese life and culture.

ONE FULL DAY OF BARRAMUNDI FISHING

Maximum 2-3 participants per booking

06:00 AM – START THE ADVENTURE

We meet at the fishing location at 6:00 AM.

We prepare your fishing gear, lures, equipment, and transportation for the day.

If you want a more authentic experience, we can also prepare basic survival equipment so you can experience the environment more independently.

Departure time from your hotel will depend on the distance to the fishing location.

06:00 AM – 05:00 PM | FISHING & EXPLORATION

From 6:00 AM onward, your experience is not limited by a rigid fishing schedule.

We adapt to the weather, tides, seasons, and actual conditions on the day.

Depending on the conditions, our transportation, fishing locations, and activities may change.

I will prepare drinking water and food for the entire day, so you can focus completely on fishing and exploration.

This is not simply a trip where you sit and wait for a fish to bite.

I want you to explore the terrain, understand the barramundi's environment, and experience how we fish in Southern Vietnam.

05:00 PM – END OF THE DAY

Around 5:00 PM, we leave the fishing area and return to your hotel.

One day of fishing comes to an end.

But if one day is not enough...

If you want to stay overnight, experience local food, meet local people, and continue exploring, you are always welcome to stay and continue the adventure the next day.
