Fishing Trip / Tour (Giant Freshwater Fishing in Vietnam)

Experience the challenge of catching some of the largest freshwater fish in the world, right here in Vietnam.

This is the only fishing lake in Vietnam that brings together a wide variety of giant freshwater fish species, including the Redtail Catfish and Giant Arapaima, with some Arapaima reaching weights of up to 150 kg.

Your Fishing Trip

Group size: 2 primary anglers

Women accompanying the anglers: additional fee of $70

Children aged 4–10: additional fee of $50. A dedicated person must be available to supervise the child.

The travel distance depends on where you are staying when you arrive in Vietnam.

From Ho Chi Minh City to the fishing destination in Ba Ria–Vung Tau, the distance is approximately 70–90 km. We will provide the estimated travel time based on your location, and our driver will pick you up directly from your accommodation.

08:00–08:30 – Arrive at the Fishing Lake

When you arrive, we will have breakfast and coffee prepared for you. You can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings before beginning your challenge to catch the giant freshwater fish.

Our fishing area covers nearly 20,000 m², including more than 14,000 m² of water, and is home to a variety of giant freshwater fish, including:

• Mekong Giant Catfish: 10–60 kg per fish
• Siamese Giant Carp: 10–20 kg per fish
• Giant Catfish: 7–15 kg per fish
• Alligator Gar: 10–20 kg per fish
• Amazon Redtail Catfish: 10–20 kg per fish
• Pacu: 7–15 kg per fish
• Gar: 10–30 kg per fish
• Arapaima: 30–150 kg per fish
• Snakehead: 0.5–2 kg per fish

Fishing Experience

You will be provided with heavy-duty fishing rods and reels if you do not bring your own equipment, as well as the bait needed for fishing.

You will be able to handle the entire process yourself, from preparing the bait to fighting and landing the fish.

The lake only allows the bread bait provided by us for bait fishing.

You can choose between bottom fishing with a float setup, or you can walk around the lake and try lure fishing in the morning, which can be very effective.

Please bring your own lure fishing rod and equipment if you would like to fish with lures.

12:00 – Lunch & Rest

Enjoy lunch and take some time to rest before continuing your battle with these freshwater monsters.

17:00 – Return to Your Hotel

At 17:00, we will begin the journey back to your hotel.

If, after a full day of fishing, you feel that you haven't had enough and would like to continue into the following day, the fishing location also offers accommodation, Vietnamese food, and cold beer.

Additional services and overnight expenses will be charged separately, as our scheduled tour officially ends at 17:00, when we begin the return journey.
